World Cities × Fashion vol.10: Tauranga, New Zealand

This series features illustrations inspired by the countries and regions (access points) of visitors to my website.
This time, I chose Tauranga, a coastal area in New Zealand.
Unlike Japan, New Zealand is in the Southern Hemisphere, so December is summertime.
I imagined a beachside Christmas with girls who have a healthy summer tan.
For the fashion, I was inspired by the New Zealand brand Glassons, and paired it with New Zealand’s Christmas flower, the pōhutukawa.
It was my first time combining the sea and a Christmas tree, so I painted it with a slightly surreal feeling.I would be happy if you enjoy that atmosphere as well.
